# Expert Tips:

01 -
  • The combination of meat sauce and creamy Alfredo creates the most incredible richness that feels like comfort food at its finest
  • It feeds a crowd with just one pan and actually tastes even better as leftovers the next day
  • The layers stay distinct but meld together into something that feels special enough for Sunday supper but easy enough for a weeknight
02 -
  • Do not skip the resting time because slicing it too soon will make everything slide apart and you will end up with a mess on the plate
  • The ricotta mixture needs to be completely smooth before spreading so take your time mixing it
  • Undercook the pasta by just a minute or two because it will finish cooking in the oven and you do not want it soft
03 -
  • Room temperature ingredients mix better so take the ricotta, egg, and sour cream out while you prep everything else
  • Use a large spoon to drop the ricotta mixture in dollops then spread it to avoid tearing the pasta layers
