09 - 1 cucumber, sliced lengthwise into sticks (for the butterfly body)
10 - 1/4 cup cream cheese, softened (for adhering and decorative dots)
11 - Fresh dill or microgreens (optional, for antennae)
# Directions:
01 - Roast sweet potato slices, slice carrot and bell pepper, cube cheddar cheese, halve grapes and olives, and arrange crackers and balsamic glaze for plating.
02 - Arrange cucumber sticks lengthwise down the center of a large rectangular or oval platter to form the butterfly’s body.
03 - Symmetrically fan out sweet potato, carrot, bell pepper, and cheddar cheese pieces on both sides of the cucumber body to represent upper and lower wings.
04 - Fill gaps between orange elements with black olives, grapes, and crackers to create the characteristic black edging and spots of monarch wings.
05 - Dot small amounts of cream cheese along the black wing edges to mimic authentic white spots.
06 - Drizzle balsamic glaze sparingly over wings to emphasize wing patterns.
07 - Place fresh dill or microgreens atop the cucumber body to resemble butterfly antennae.
08 - Present immediately and encourage guests to create bites from the colorful arrangement.
