# Directions:

01 - Preheat the waffle iron following the manufacturer's guidelines.
02 - In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt until evenly distributed.
03 - In a separate bowl, beat the eggs with the whole milk, melted butter, and vanilla extract until thoroughly combined.
04 - Pour the wet mixture into the dry ingredients and stir gently until just combined; some lumps remaining is acceptable to ensure light texture.
05 - Lightly grease the preheated waffle iron. Pour approximately ½ cup of batter onto the iron per waffle and cook for 4 to 5 minutes, until golden brown and crisp.
06 - Remove the cooked waffles and slice each waffle into four quarters.
07 - In a small saucepan over low heat, melt 2 tablespoons of unsalted butter. Stir in the maple syrup and warm the mixture for about 2 minutes.
